The lifespan of a set of burrs varies greatly, especially between different sizes and coatings. A set of 75mm SSP Mythos burrs with red speed coating has an estimated lifespan of around 5,000kg where the original titanium coated set is around 1,500kg . A Mazzer Major original 83mm burr set with no special coating will last around 500kgs.
